Cellular Facial Skin Rejuvenation – Harnessing the Body’s Regenerative Processes

This is how a PRP and PRF treatment for Cellular Facial process works.

1. Collection
   Blood is collected during the therapy session, just like a blood test. Our highly-trained registered nurses begin the cellular facial treatment by drawing the client’s blood from a vein into vials and placing it into a specialised centrifuge device. 
2. Centrifugation
   Following the collection of the blood sample, the tubes are placed in a centrifuge to segregate the red blood cells from the blood plasma, where the growth factors are located.
3. Purification
   
   This process involves extracting the growth factors isolating the highly-concentrated plasma containing essential nutrients from the red blood cells. The serum is drawn into a syringe. We use 1-3 ml syringes with the finest needles available to ensure minimal discomfort for our clients.
4. Application
   
   Once separated the nutrient-rich plasma is then injected beneath the surface of the skin to the areas of concern. Delivering the concentrated solution directly into the skin stimulates collagen and elastin production.

What happens after a Cellular Facial Skin Treatment?

• Though clients report a gentle tingling sensation during the procedure, pain is not likely. The skin has a rosy glow for a day or two. The result is skin with visibly and remarkably improved tone, texture, and overall appearance.
• The choice of delivery options will be dependent on the results you are aiming to achieve and will be discussed with you during your consultation prior to treatment.
• The elixir of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) contains the release of growth factors that instruct your cells to form new collagen and help treat a wide range of concerns.
• Collagen-induction therapy is performed which produces thousands of controlled micro-injuries to the surface of the facial skin. By applying the plasma serum to the surface prior to micro-needling, the platelets and growth factors are infused into the skin allowing for the regenerative proteins to be released deep into the skin.
• By doing so significantly enhances the natural production of collagen, reducing fine lines/wrinkles, improving skin elasticity, texture, tone, resulting in smoother, firmer, tighter, and healthier-looking skin.
• Effective in addressing concerns such as dark spots, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, acne, acne scarring, rosacea and under-eye dark circles.
• Additional plasma serum is then applied over the micro-perforations, further infusing the skin with healthy growth factor stimulation. These building blocks help to develop a more youthful complexion

7 Days Prior

Avoid chemical peels and micro-needling for 7 days prior to treatment

3 Days Prior

Avoid topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinols, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Salicylic Acid, or other “anti-aging”, “acne”, and “bleaching” products. Also avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or the use of hair removal cream on the area 3 days prior to being treated.

Consultation

• All cosmetic injectable treatments require a complimentary consultation with one of our doctors or registered nurses.
• Please advise your cosmetic injector if you are taking any blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin, warfarin or clopidogrel etc.)
• During consultation, an accurate guide to pre- and post-care recovery is discussed prior to the treatment and a full post-care guide will be provided at your appointment.
• As a precaution we do not recommend PRP or PRF if you’re pregnant

• The treated area may be swollen, red, tender, sensitive or bruised on the day. You may also feel tingling sensation, pressure where the needles were introduced. These side-effects are temporary and gradually subside. Use a gentle moisturiser as needed.
• Recommend applying revitalising redox gel that is available in the clinic. Will help replenish the moisture barrier, which is essential for healing.
• Avoid touching or apply anything on the treated area for at least 8 hours after treatment
• Sleep elevated on your back to help reduce swelling
• Bruising may occur after treatment and can last for up to 3 days to 2 weeks. Use Arnica cream to reduce the signs of bruising.
• Continue to avoid aspirin, ibuprofen and other anti-inflammatory medications for 3 days after treatment.
• If you experience pain, you can take paracetamol.
• Avoid vigorous exercise for at least 12 hours post treatment
• Avoid exercise, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and spas, prolonged sun exposure and excessive alcohol consumption for 48 hours post treatment
• Book a review with your Cosmetic Injector 2-4 weeks post treatment
